Forward facing child car seats can be used for any child after they have turned 1. Before this time they must use a rear facing car seat due to their limited control of their head and neck. Forward facing child car seats can usually seat a child from 1 â 3 or so, when they are ready to graduate to a booster seat.
Look for forward facing child car seats to have a 5 point harness restraint system for safety and comfort as well as features like padded seats and head rests along with soft, washable surface protection. This way, your child is comfortable and enjoys riding in the car.
