The Carriage Stroller
The baby carriage stroller is one of the most fashionable, chic strollers on the market. Most celebrities choose the carriage strollers. Carriage strollers are also called a Pram or Buggy depending on what part of the world you are from.
The baby carriage stroller consists of larger wheels, basket-like carriage and usually a stern pronounced handle with a small basket on the bottom. They do not fold up and take up a substantial amount of room, but boy are they cute!
These strollers are not meant for any type of vigorous activity, they are for simply strolling. There are no cup holders and the handle does not adjust on the carriage but you sure look great pushing it!
Stability, Size, Age, Steering, & Materials
These carriages are made sturdy so they do provide a smooth protected ride for your little one. There is a nice amount of room for your baby inside the carriage as well. The Frame of the carriage is stable and solid and the wheels are as well.
Usually, the carriage stroller is about three to four feet tall and can be up to sixty-five pounds. These days, you may even be able to find a carriage stroller that you can remove the carriage off the frame to avoid having the whole stroller with you.
For the most part, carriages are usually only used until the baby weighs about thirty pounds but in some cases can be used up until eight months. Since the baby is not strapped down, you don't want him trying to crawl out of the carriage.
Even though the carriage is a fairly large stroller, it doesn't affect how smooth they push. The steering is amazing and there are usually firm brakes on the back of the wheels, which can come fixed or sometimes even swivel on certain models.
The materials used in the carriage are your choice. You can choose anywhere from the softest fabrics to fabrics with designed patterns. The bedding in the carriage is a soft mattress that sits snugly in the frame with very little room around the edges which is exactly what you want for your baby.
